The port of the city of Ajaccio, and more precisely the port Charles Ornano, is located in the west of the island in the department of Corse-du-Sud on the Mediterranean Sea. Formerly named Port de l’Amirauté, it is a lively and dynamic port located at the bottom of the Gulf of Ajaccio. This port has many assets for boaters. Its location close to the city allows access to many leisure activities, amenities, stores and craft stores. Access by day and night is possible in all weathers, but with some subtleties in southwest winds.
