Today, these towers are protected and restored. They are an integral part of the island’s architectural heritage.

Village of Rogliano - Hamlet of Vignale

The visitor will be attracted by the presence of imposing houses in the Cap Corse called “Palazzi di l’Americani” = “Palaces of American Corsicans”. The history of these houses is over a century old. Capcorsins adventurers who left to make their fortune in the Americas built these houses on admirable sites as well as surprising neo-classical tombs with numerous symbols that can be seen on the most beautiful promontories often facing the sea and eternity. An architectural setting that dominates the landscape, a true witness to the economic success of these adventurers tempted by distant horizons. Each house, each tomb, tells a unique story.
